Terri Lawson is an accomplished artist who focuses on her love for animals; it takes her to her happy place. Graduating from VCU with a BFA, her professors helped bring out her love of creativity, which began with a crayon at a very young age.

Her latest passion is paper. Recognizing the medium just a few years ago, she states, “It has endless possibilities.” Currently, she has been creating animals that come to life with reed and paper. This allows her to go as large as she wants. Imagine having a life-size tiger floating overhead! It is a joyous thing to behold.

She has created many installations, windows, and event displays that completely transform a room.

Her work is currently on display at Stuff-RVA and Crossroads Art Center.
