Stolen Flora

I have been in love with flowers for as long as I can remember. Trust me, there was no shortage that popped up every spring where I grew up in Portsmouth Va.

Daffodils, tulips, crocus, rhododendron, and azaleas, just to name a few.

When I was 10 years old, I had a paper route that had me out in the early mornings. On my way home in the spring, I would stop off in many of my neighbor’s yards and steal their prize possessions. I had no idea of the work they put into planting them during the fall. Well, I never got caught, but I did put them on the church altar a few years in a row, so at least someone forgave me.
